Low Sky

Public art installation, Our Saviours Atonement Lutheran Church, New York City, NY, 2025

Low Sky is a site-specific watercolor installation created during the Cornerstone Studios residency in a historic church. Developed in dialogue with the building's architecture and changing light conditions, the work considers the church as a space where personal memory, collective history, and spiritual experience intersect. Translucent watercolor elements respond to the movement of daylight, transforming the interior throughout the day and drawing attention to the ephemeral nature of perception and remembrance. By activating the space through color, light, and shadow, the installation invites contemplation of the ways communities inscribe meaning into places over time.
